"Fibrefest is less than 3 months away, but you can get your ticket today! Taking place on September 6 and 7, we have over 80 fantastic vendors at the festival, selling finished goods and textile supplies from across the province and beyond. From yarn to tools to clothing to demonstrations to raffles- we have a bit of everything for everyone. To celebrate our 30th anniversary (and the Museum’s 40th!), we’re hosting a sheep to shawl competition! See teams create a shawl from start to finish on Saturday, and come back to see them judged and auctioned off on Sunday!

"Marketplace
The Knit City Vancouver Marketplace will feature over 75 Canadian indie yarn dyers, local yarn stores, fibre farmers, knitwear designers, notions makers and more.
Knit with friends in the SweetGeorgia Lounge (located in the Marketplace), watch some demonstrations, attend a book signing, or donate some of your unused yarn. We will also have food trucks, a concession, and an indoor eating area for you to enjoy!
The Marketplace will be open to the public Saturday September 27 9am-5pm and Sunday September 28 9am-3pm, at the PNE Forum."

Join us at Fabrications Ottawa to celebrate Worldwide Knit in Public Day!

Bring a chair and your knitting project (or other lap project) and set up under the shade tents outside Fabrications to knit the day away with fibre friends.
Merry Dairy will be serving scoops from 11:00am to 1:30pm!
I'll leave my yarn behind for Sunday, so if you can't make the shenanigans on Saturday, stop by Sunday, June 15th, 2025, from 12:00pm-4:00pm to check out my skeins in person.

Every fall, I look forward to our annual trunk show at Ottawa's superb LYS Wabi Sabi. The shop and its community are among Ottawa's finest fibre resources, and I'm so pleased to be welcomed back again for this annual tradition.
This year, I've created a fall-themed colourway collection on our Leo BFL Sock yarn that will be available exclusively at Wabi Sabi for the duration of the show. This harmonious collection offers options for colour pairing, stranded colourwork, multi-colour projects, and fades. Check it out in person or online.
