British Breeds DK is a very special limited edition yarn!
Spun in the UK at The Natural Fibre and Blacker Yarns company, this woolen-spun beauty is made with a unique blend of wools local to the mill. These fibres work together to create a yarn that is both lofty and strong; one with elasticity, resilience, and good memory.
In hand, it feels very light due to its woolen spin (air content), and has a natural handle with a pleasingly textured finish.
This is an ideal yarn for sport to DK weight garments and accessories, especially for the colder months! The untreated woolen-spun qualities of British Breeds DK makes it very warm AND breathable. My first project is colourwork mittens: Warm hands that don't get sticky!
Second photo shows "Aubergine" next to the undyed "Natural" colourway.
