This yarn is dyed to order; please allow 2-3 weeks for your yarn to be dyed.
65% silk/35% linen
Approximately 261 yards and 50 grams per skein.
Silk Linen is a fingering weight blend that is ideal for warm-weather, drapey knits, such as shawlettes and tees. Knit at a gauzy gauge of 4.5mm to 5.00mm needles makes a breezy short-sleeved summer top with relatively little yarn (for example, the Willa tee by This Bird Knits takes 150g for a size 50-inch bust).
Silk Linen is a limited edition seasonal base.
Hand-dyed with professional wash-fast acid dyes in my cat-friendly home studio. I take great care to set dyes and then rinse the yarns until no dye bleeds, however there may be some colour in your water at first wash due to differences in water properties. Please be aware that photo colours may vary from screen to screen.
If your yarn creation requires more than one skein of the same yarn, it is very important to alternate skeins every row to blend; the beauty of hand-dyed yarn is that no two skeins are exactly the same, even when dyed in the same batch.
Hand wash in cool water and lay flat to dry for best longevity.
